SAFETY-HEALTH-WELLNESS: Wingspan understands the value of participants feeling safe, being seen and staying healthy. If there is any issue, we will contact you immediately. If your camper is sick, please keep them home for the benefit of all.

CAMP HOURS: 9 am-3 pm Drop Off/Pick Up outside. Please note: No formal After Care this summer. Assistants may be available to provide this.

SCHOLARSHIPS available via our Spread Your Wings program, founded in 2012, to assure access for all children. Contact us for an application. To date we have proudly provided over 250 scholarships through the generous contributions of friends of Wingspan and the BCA Community Grant Program.

AGES are suggestions. Wingspan welcomes age diversity. Camps are appropriate for 5-10 year old children. Opportunities may exist for older youth to participate as Councilors-in-Training so reach out to discuss!

REFUNDS: Due to planning, our small operation, staff hired there are no refunds. However, you may apply your camp fee to another program or to the purchase of a painting. You may also transfer it to a friend. They would need to fill out a Registration Form, so please alert us by email.

Week 1: July 1-3, 2024 | FRAnimal House! French, Art & Animal Habitats | Ages 4-8

An eye to kindness and inclusivity permeates this 3-Day Camp as we explore the beauty of differences. We explore different shapes, colors and textures of animals, (including people), learn vocabulary and phrases in French and create 2-d and 3-d art!

The miraculous diversity of nature, which makes us all unique, is reflected back to campers' own strengths with SEL (Social Emotional Learning) activities woven in.

2-d media from oil pastels/markers to acrylics are used. Campers will create an acrylic painting on canvas, partake in exciting color mixing exercises and make recycled/found object animal sculpture!

Outdoor lunches, movement, music, choice time and French along the way! Allons-y!

Week 2: July 15-19, 2024 | FRArt Through the Ages! Art, French & Pokemon | Ages 5-10

Oh la la! Focusing on the different Ages of Art,with help from Pokemon characters, campers will draw, paint and sculpt their own masterpieces. Each day we will dive into a different period of art and create a work based on that. Cave art to the Renaissance, to Impressionism up through Abstract art and Post-Modern!

As a finale, campers make their own universes expressed through a diorama and with characters they create! Lots of drawing, painting and role playing support SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and strengthening critical thinking skills and creativity.

Outdoor lunches, trips to nearby parks and choice time make this an exciting week!

Inspired by the seas and all its creatures we will explore watercolor projects, painting with our hands and feet and sculpting one's own imaginary creature!

Geography is woven in along with French learning. Activities include map making, illustrated storytelling with French vocabulary embedded and lots of group games/movement and a walking trip to the lake. Seas the day! Allons-y! Join Wingspan for a fabulous final summer week and some splashy good fun and French!
